As Vice President, Jeff Muir focuses on sourcing, evaluating, structuring and executing investments for 547 Energy. He works closely with 547 Energy’s portfolio companies on various strategic initiatives, M&A transactions evaluation and execution, project level financing and capital allocation.
Prior to joining 547 Energy, Jeff was a Vice President in Macquarie Capital’s Green Investment Group (GIG), where he was focused on principal investments in project development firms and development-stage projects in the wind, solar and battery storage space in North America. During his time with GIG, Jeff played a key role in the establishment and management of Fremantle Energy, Electrodes, Alira Energy, Candela Renewables and Calibrant Energy and the successful project development, financing and sale of over 600 MW of wind, solar and battery storage projects in the U.S. Prior to joining GIG, Jeff was a solar project developer with Belectric focused on greenfield utility-scale solar projects in California. Jeff started his career as an environmental engineer.
Jeff holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Villanova University, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from UCLA.
