December 17 (Renewables Now) – US thin-film solar module maker First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR) has sold three photovoltaic (PV) projects with a combined capacity of 278 MW to EDP Renewables (ELI:EDPR) and ConnectGen.

The duo has bought the 154-MW Sun Streams 1 project in Maricopa County, Arizona, the 20-MW Windhub A project in Kern County, California, and the 103-MW Sunshine Valley project in Nye County, Nevada. All three of them are expected to achieve substantial completion by the end of the month.

First Solar said that it has equipped each of the three solar parks with its thin-film modules. The company’s First Solar Energy Services business will operate the plants upon commissioning. It now has more than 10 GW of large-scale solar assets under management, according to the announcement.

Houston, Texas-based ConnectGen develops renewable energy and energy storage projects across North America and is backed by Quantum Energy Partners.
